PROM Season is approaching very fast. On this occasion, there is often more partying and less supervision with teens, and dating violence is an even greater concern. Most of us can identify with or know someone who has endured abuse and is still striving and moving forward. However, I felt led to highlight the determination and endurance of some African Americans who endured horrific abuse yet still excelled.
